Restarting Write Click with my favourite quote by Clarissa Pinkola Estes:
āI hope you will go out and let stories happen to you... and that you will work with these stories... Water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom. That is the work. The only work.ā
I've been lurking in the shadows of the internet, ardently reading newsletters, and I've come to an obvious conclusion: I just have TOO MUCH to say!
Well, I'm hitting the restart button on Write Click, and this time, it's going to be personal and, dare I say, longish!
Why the name āWrite Clickā?
It is the melange of what I do - writing and marketing - writing stories that click, and ads that would be clicked!
I established my firm by the name of Write Click on my late grandfatherās birthday this year and as I went independent. Hereās more on that.
PS I started a podcast named Write Click on Mentza last year and couldnāt sustain it. You can listen to the two episodes I hosted -
And here are some warm words by a stranger:
Whatās happening?
Well, well the tomato prices have significantly reduced. The number of crypto tweets has gone down. The Barbie marketing team seems to be chilling now. And the festive season is just around the cornerā¦ And, I have recovered from my fracture and struggling to step out of my city.
Itās been over 3.5 months that I havenāt taken a flight - yeah my house help was concerned - āMadam, aap theek ho na?) - Yeah, sheās not used to me staying in Bangalore for more than 2 weeks at a stretch.
Yes, you can say that the solopreneur life is keeping me busy!
Btw, I crafted my simple af website - shalakulkarni.com using Bento and would love to hear your thoughts.
For all the new followers and the ones who donāt know what I do:

Thatās what Z said:
I recently attended Leap Clubās dialogue with the iconic Zeenat Aman - and gosh, what grandeur - what aura! Z spoke about the reality of carving a unique space for yourself.
Even the campaign they did with Z was fab. Check out their post here.
Leap Club is thriving on a simple mission to have more women in leadership positionsā¦ ye kadam nahi, chalaang hai!
Desi Log Ultra Max Pro:
Came across a brilliant gig on Twitter by Juhi Chitra called Desi Log. Socho kya ho sakta hai? Well, it is a free, mix-and-match illustration pack of diverse Indian characters. I AM A FAN!
āI made this pack because I saw so many amazing illustration packs out there but barely any with Indian people and Indian contexts.ā - Juhi Chitra
Inkspirations this month:
Almost done with Yellowface by Rebecca F. Kuang - amusing, entertaining and easy to read. Would give it a 4/5. My first time reading the author - and would expect more! Somewhere reminded me of Sad Girls by Lang Leav - maybe itās time to revisit her work.
Found the cutest potato chip: A dear friend recommended āFathers and Daughtersā and it touched my soul. I am glad I didnāt see the trailer beforehand.
Can you guess what Pinacograms are? Not disclosing anything - just check the link! I am sure youāll love it!
On a closing note - Arizona State Universityās idea of introducing a course titled āPsychology of Taylor Swiftā got me thinking - If thereās ever a course about me/my work - what should it be called? Tell me what you think! Also, setting my heart on this thought. One day! :)
Keeping it raw -
Until the thirteenth,
Writeously yours,
Shalaka Kulkarni
